Our original 1935 Alvar Aalto nesting L-leg table set and children's Chair N65 are simple, modern, and just as relevant today as they were 80 years ago. Made in Finland from bent birch wood and black lacquer, each element of this set is a pristine example of the iconic "L-leg." Aalto's L-leg is considered an important advancement in furniture design, as the simple curvature allows for the leg to be attached directly to the seat or table top, creating a sturdier, yet less complex, piece.
