Miami Beach's Art Basel is showcasing some, literally, sweet architecture this week. Commissioned by the always fun and ever innovative Dylan's Candy Bar in Miami Beach, these incredible gingerbread houses go way beyond our childhood memories. Created by chef and stylist Caitlin Levin and photographed by Henry Hargreaves, these recreations of iconic art museums from all over the globe use everything from the traditional cookie walls to full chocolate bars and versatile Lego candies to painstakingly reproduce the famous buildings.
Our favorite has to be the sparkling sugar and licorice version of New York's very own Guggenheim Museum, designed by mid-century modern master Frank Lloyd Wright.
If you're in Miami Beach, be sure to check out this amazing feat in confectionary design at Dylan's Candy Bar on December 6, 2013 from 6:00-8:00pm.
