100 FOR 100: GREAT CHILDREN'S BOOKS / NYPL

November 19, 2013

The New York Public Library has released their 100 Great Children's Books over the past 100 years list. This fascinating collection includes books for all ages, from joyful picture books for little ones to compelling coming of age stories for tweens.  Their Library shop is offering special discounts on themed book sets--perfect for the holidays! 100 Great Children's Books was published in conjunction with the exhibit The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter on display now through March 2014 at the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. This masterfully curated exhibit explores children's books not only as teaching tools, but also as clear windows into a society's culture, folklore, and future.
