Chigo Gets It

October 10, 2012

Simple is best, especially with play.  A cardboard box or the packaging to a gift sometimes gets more mileage play than anything with a toddler.  The folks at Chigo surely get that simplicity with child play is best. Delicious ideas, adorable pull toys, drip painted bowling pins. YUM

I rarely like new designed kids furniture....unless the point of view is unique. I can recall many a years I would have loved a cubby-like desk to avoid my schoolwork in!  Torafu architects totally get it.

I'm Obliterated

July 18, 2012

This post is a great way to begin this blog....with a post to Yayoi Kusama. I am obsessed with this idea and feel that the Obliteration Room installation is one of the best Ideas I've ever seen.

What began as a white room was contributed to thousands of people adding color dots, which in turn created a wonderful piece of art. Interactivity became a huge part of Kusama's work int he 1960's and this was a clever way to introduce a new generation to her amazing work.
